Sharon Mackay grew up in Niagara Falls and attended Brock University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts. After graduating, she began working for the Canadian Consulate General in Buffalo. In 1999, Sharon began law school at the University of Windsor and was called to the bar in 2003. Sharon worked exclusively in the area of insurance litigation before returning to the Niagara Region and joining Graves and Richard Professional Corporation, Personal Injury Lawyers.
Sharon began her legal career practising general civil litigation. With her family, she went on to relocate to Barrie, Ontario where she exclusively practiced in the area of insurance litigation, representing insurance companies in cases including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents, homeowner liability claims, and disputes between insurers. She is now on the other side – helping accident victims and their families. By working with insurance companies, Sharon has gained extremely valuable knowledge on how to navigate the complexities of insurance law. This gives her a unique advantage when representing her clients.
Sharon is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
Sharon makes her home in Niagara-on-the-Lake where she resides with her husband and their two children. She loves skiing and curling in the winter and golfing in the summer. Sharon recently began a creative writing course which she thoroughly enjoys.
